Wynncraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Minecraft server released in April 2013.[1] According to Salted, one of the owners, over 2.9 million players have played on the server as of March 2021.[1]

Gameplay[edit]

Wynncraft's gameplay revolves around completing quests, joining guilds, and fighting bosses, among other things.[2][3] Players are required to select a class,[4] and start in the Wynn province, one of Wynncraft's four provinces.[2] The server's world has an approximate size of 4,000 by 5,500 blocks,[2] and consists of two continents divided by an ocean with islands.[4] Wynncraft's design is inspired by the MMORPG RuneScape,[4] and as of 2017, it has over 100 quests.[5] Aside from the cost of Minecraft, the server is free-to-play, with players being able to purchase cosmetic in-game items.[2][6]

Reception[edit]

Wynncraft

The main goal for this reference is to get you started using the Wynncraft Public API service, and providing the tools which you will need. This guide covers everything from making requests, to understanding responses, to example usage, and much more. As of now, we only support GET requests to information/routes that are made public by us. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. Now you can start playing Wynncraft with Wynntils by double-clicking the Wynncraft icon. For optimal playing experience, it is recommended to install Optifine in the MultiMC profile. This is fully optional, and you can skip this step. To do this, download the latest OptiFine for Minecraft 1.12.2 from the OptiFine website.

Wynncraft has been praised for its extensiveness and gameplay. Writing for Kotaku Australia, Luke Plunkett praised Wynncraft's map and called the server 'a full and proper MMO'.[6] Carl Velasco of Tech Times said that the server is 'nuts' and 'a stunning example of what can be created using Minecraft's own sandbox engine'.[2] Austin Wood, writing for PC Gamer, was 'continually floored by all you can do'.[4] Ewan Moore of UNILAD stated that the server is representative of Minecraft's expansive scope. In 2021, Edward Hays of esports website Sportskeeda called it the second-best Minecraft Java Edition server.[7]
